Safe To Move – Terms of Use
1. About this service
The Safe To Move system (“the Service”) is provided by Humber and North Yorkshire Health and Care Partnership (“we”, “us”, “our”).
The Service is designed to support decision-making and guidance relating to the safe movement of individuals following a fall. It is intended for use by appropriately trained staff and members of the public.
2. Acceptance of these terms
By accessing or using this Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.
3. Purpose and limitations
The Service:
- Provides guidance only
- Does not replace professional judgement, training, or clinical assessment
- Must be used alongside local policies, procedures, and professional standards
We do not guarantee that:
- The Service is suitable for all situations
- The information is complete, accurate, or up to date in all circumstances
4. Clinical responsibility
You are responsible for:
- Any decisions made based on the Service
- Ensuring actions are appropriate to the individual situation
- Following your organisation’s policies and professional guidance
Use of the Service does not transfer any clinical or professional responsibility to us.
5. Availability of the service
We aim to ensure the Service is available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access.
We may:
- Modify, suspend, or withdraw the Service at any time
- Update content without notice
6. Intellectual property – software
All intellectual property rights in the software, design, structure, and underlying code of the Service are owned by or licensed to us.
You may:
- Access and use the Service via the website for its intended purpose
You must not:
- Copy, reproduce, distribute, or modify any part of the software
- Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code
- Reuse the system to create a competing product
- Sell, licence, or commercially exploit the Service
7. Intellectual property – content and handbook
The Safe To Move handbook and related content are subject to separate licensing terms.
Where applicable, content may be reused in accordance with the stated licence, which will be clearly indicated alongside the material.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service in any unlawful or fraudulent way
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
- Attempt unauthorised access to any part of the system
- Use automated systems (e.g. bots, scraping tools) without permission
9. Data protection and privacy
We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling data in accordance with UK data protection legislation, including the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018.
The Service is not intended for the entry of identifiable personal data unless explicitly stated.

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

- We are not liable for clinical decisions made using the Service
